Glenna Lowrance of Amarillo, Texas passed away the morning of June 4, 2020, at the age of 64 years.  Glenna was born on January 5, 1956 in Lawton, Oklahoma to James and Elizabeth Priest.  Glenna is survived by her husband, Allen Lowrance of Amarillo; one son, Jeremy Kelln and wife, Robyn of Amarillo; two grandsons, Kellan and Jude of Amarillo; a brother Jimmy Priest and wife, Becky of Amarillo; and mother in law, Glenda Everitt also of Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Fussell of Littleton, Colorado.

Glenna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved her only son more than anything in the world and selflessly sacrificed for him and her family. She enjoyed doting over her grandson and took great pride upon his arrival. The joy she received from her grandsons was one of the greatest gifts she received from the Lord.

She attended Amarillo High in the 70’s and had fun cruising Polk street with her sister on the weekends. She was an avid dog lover throughout her lifetime often taking in strays that had been abandoned.

With a big heart, she enjoyed listening to church services and discussing gospel principles with those around her.  She always found the end times prophecy interesting, attending speakers and church services to learn more of the bible and God’s Word. She was a prayer warrior! She prayed relentlessly for her family and loved ones. Though she endured health issues in her last few years, she rarely complained and found joy in the simple things in life, mostly her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, from 6:00 -7:00 P.M. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount.

  1. Glenna, was a real good friend of my family and I. I’ve known her for 36 years or so. Her son Jemery was always over at the house with my son Joshua, they were best friends growing up. We all love ❤️ Glenna and Allen

  2. Loved sweet Glenna! When JSK and I were friends in high school Glenna was always so kind to me. I had lost touch as the years have gone by. I know without a doubt that she was so proud of Jeremy. She loved him so much. I’m so glad she was able to spend time with Jeremy’s precious little family. I know she’s in heaven smiling down. Prayers go out to Jeremy, family and friends.

We are so sorry for your loss. Even though we had not met your Mom, Jeremy, we know she must have been wonderful since she raised such a fine son. We know your hearts hurt terribly. Our prayer is that your tears of sadness will be replaced with smiles of happiness remembering happy times with your Mom! Our love is with you all!
