Kambrielle Kates, 33, of Dallas, TX passed away on June 8, 2021.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Carter Chapel CME Church, 412 SW 2nd Ave., with Rev. Wheatley Bell officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery, 2900 S. Hayes St. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

On Wednesday, January 6, 1988, a beautiful baby girl was born in Amarillo, TX to Richard Delbert Kates and Claudette McGowan Kates.

As she grew into a beautiful young lady, she later graduated from North Heights High School in 2007.

She developed a love for God and accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Olive MB Church.

Kambrielle’s greatest accomplishment in life was becoming the “Proud” mother of 3 wonderful blessings: Za’Kiah Danae Kates, Kamiah Renay Kates, and Kamarhi El Marquis Bell aka Chewy.

Loving and treasured memories will forever be remembered by her children; her mother, Claudette McGowan Kates; her father, Richard D. (Patricia) Kates; her sister, Kelly Kates; her brother, Richard Kates, II; her nieces, Taylen and Zorri; her nephews, Tayren, Bentley, and Henrix; her grandparents, Willie and Beatrice McGowan; and her great-grandmother, Inez Lester.

She will be deeply missed by all of her aunts and uncles: Carolyn (Leon) Chalmers, Shonda (Larry) Bolton, Tina (Averna) Vester, Eddie Ray Dunn, Fannie Frazier, Hallie Calloway Kates, Wilma (Andre) Bishop, Barbara (Jessie) Johnson, and David Kates.

Cousins are connected heart to heart. Cousins can be the best of friends their entire life: Kendra, Brandon, Telson, Schay, Fredricka, Trent, Jerrion, Serenitee, Kaamilya, Kamesha, Keyerah, David Jr., Marquette, Timothy, Kosha, Kim, Justin, Eric, and Preston.

Kambrielle was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wilson Kates, Sr.; her grandmother, Essie Kates; and her uncle, Wilson Kates, Jr.

  2. Such a beautiful young lady. She, Kelly and my daughter were in children’s programs and activities at Mt Olive Baptist Church as little girls. She will be greatly missed. Much love & prayers to the family.

  4. I am praying and giving my condolences to family. God will give each of you strength. She is a beautiful young lady gone too soon for us but not for God. I believe my daughters went to school with this young lady and they are deeply sadden. May God comfort you.

  11. We remember going to Amarillo hanging out with our cousins. We would go at least 2 to 3 times a year and enjoyed ourselves so much. We’re going to miss you Kam love you RIP and.

  12. Kambrielle was always so sweet and beautiful, singing in the Young People’s Choir at Church. She was quite a lady saying her speeches at Easter. She always participated in the activities at Vacation Bible School, and had lots of fun with the other kids.
