Bobby Dean Kunkel, 65, of Amarillo, TX passed away on July 4, 2021.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 10, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Private burial will be at Hansford Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Bobby was born in Spearman, TX on July 24, 1955, to Grace and Marvin Kunkel. He graduated from Spearman High School and continued his education at West Texas State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in education and Oklahoma State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Bobby worked for Amarillo Gear for over 30 years.

Bobby married Helen Berg in Amarillo, TX on October 14, 1989.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Kunkel, of the home; daughters, Jennifer Smith and husband Christopher, of McDade, TX, and Anna Marie Kunkel, of Millsboro, DE; son, Marcus McLean and wife Holly, of Gruver, TX; sister, Vicki Young and husband Jeff, of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
