Brent Michael Palmer

Brent Michael Palmer, 33, of Amarillo, TX died unexpectedly of a possible pulmonary embolism on November 18, 2021, at his home shared with his loving wife Erin.

He was born on April 4, 1988, in Amarillo, TX to Kent and Vicki Palmer just minutes before his fraternal twin brother Blake.

Brent graduated from Amarillo High School in 2007. Following graduation, he served 4 years in the US Marine Corp. While in service he did 3 tours, two while in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He truly felt the Marines made him the man he was meant to be and gave him the brotherhood he cherished the most.

Brent met his now-wife Erin Merrill freshman year of high school but the two never dated until Good Friday, April 2019. At the end of their first date (lasting 14 hours) Brent and Erin both knew they had found their soulmate. Brent proposed on October 5, 2019, and they were shortly married on September 19, 2020. Although their marriage was cut short, he was a devoted loving husband bringing happiness and security to the life they built together. It really was the greatest love story this town had ever seen!

Brent had many friends who loved him for his contagious laughter and fun easy-going spirit. He was considered a brother to everyone who knew him. He enjoyed bowling as a member of the Amarillo UCBC, most recently in the league “Mixed Nuts”. His greatest accomplishments being an almost perfect game, scoring 299 along with several 700 Series throughout his bowling career. His true passion resided in his need for speed and love of cars, especially muscle cars. His first muscle car love was a 1969 Orange GTO and last being his 2010 black Dodge Challenger.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Joe Merril; and grandparents, A. C. & Val Henneman.

Survivors include his wife, Erin Palmer; parents, Kent & Vicki Palmer; mother-in-law, Brenda Merrill; and twin brother, Blake Palmer, all of Amarillo.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at The Loft Church with Joe Tindall officiating.
