Clinton Rhea McPherson, 68, of Amarillo, TX passed away on December 15, 2021.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 19, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Doug Gehm officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Clint was born in Graham, TX on September 19, 1953, to Vic and Martha McPherson. He graduated from Shamrock High School in May of 1972. He served 42 years in the Army National Guard, retiring as a Major. He was able to fulfill his life-long dream of serving as a Police Officer for the City of Bedford, TX and as a Deputy Sheriff for both Potter and Midland Counties. He was highly educated in a multitude of areas.

He fell in love with and married the love of his life in October of 1985. He was a fine Christian man all of his life and together with his wife, rededicated his life to Jesus Christ in 2009. In 2017, during their trip to Israel, Clint was baptized in the Jordan River. Clint always made sure to share his love of Christ with his family, friends, and anyone he came into contact with. He was always a doting father, granddad, and great granddad. Clint was a true marksman, avid outdoorsman, and master woodworker and carpenter. For the last five years, he and Ranea have enjoyed traveling in their motor home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vic McPherson, and stepfather, Rodney Barker.

Survivors include his wife, Ranea McPherson; children, Kendra Espinosa and Edward, Jennifer Wood and Dana, Clay McPherson and Gladys Lamb, Destinee McPherson, and Zachary McPherson; mother, Martha Barker; siblings, Clifford McPherson and Karen, Tony McPherson and Karen, Lettitia McPherson, Amy Ocker and Steven, and Pamela Barker and Jimmy Moya; grandchildren, Kelsey Gabel, Jordan Wood, Tanner Howell and Bria, Kaden Gist, Roni Howell, Madelyn Wood, Jason Wood, Joel McPherson, Callie McPherson, Creed McPherson, and Lea McPherson; great-grandchildren, Timothy Howell, and Berkley Howell; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members (too numerous to count).
