Flavia Anita “Bucky” Griego, 49, of Amarillo, TX was welcomed to her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating.

Anita was born June 25, 1971, in Amarillo, TX to Rodney and Karen Griego.  She was a hairstylist.

She was an incredibly creative person and therefore enjoyed sewing, painting, and creating.  Anita always had more space in her heart for animals and friends.  A favorite pastime of hers was time spent with her loved ones and friends.  Her beloved Denver Broncos will hear her cheering from the other side of Heaven.

Anita is survived by her sisters, Alicia Griego, and Mallory Naples, both of Amarillo, TX; her daughters, Chelci Castillo, Kylie Reed, and Piper Reed, all of Amarillo, TX, Ariel Castillo, of Austin, TX, and Jenta Dunavin, of San Antonio, TX; her mother, Karen Elrod and her husband Todd, of Georgetown, TX; nieces and nephews, Taice Barnes, Tatym Barnes, Baelyn Barnes, Brenyn Barnes, and Brecklyn Sustaita; and grandchildren, Averie Davilla, Jezilynn Barbosa, and Alice Cromeans.

  1. I’m soo shocked to hear about this. She was such a blessing and a good friend. Was blessed to have her live next for a couple of years in Arizona. Even with her move to Texas we still talked very often. I’m glad she’s out of pain and not suffering anymore but soo sad to lose a beautiful soul! Lots of hugs and love you lots!!! Xoxo miss you!

  2. I am so very sorry for your loss- Anita was such a sweet and kind person. I met her through a friend on facebook and she joined our network marketing company. She was absolutely beautiful with a kind heart and beautiful soul.

  3. I am so shocked and sorry to hear of this. Anita was a classmate of mine at UoP and I was fortunate enough to get to know her beautiful heart and spirit. She was a unique and caring person and the world will be a little darker without her bright light. She loved large and especially for her girls and her family.
