Jimmy Alcala, 67, of Amarillo, TX passed away on July 2, 2021.

Memorial services will be at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX.

Jimmy was born in Amarillo, TX on September 24, 1953. He attended Caprock High School and worked for many years as a cement finisher and forman in Amarillo, TX, and Colorado. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sammy Alcala Sr. and Luz Reynoso Alcala; and brothers, Sammy Alcala Jr. and Leroy Alcala Sr.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Elida Navarrete Alcala; sisters, Vicky Valverde, Molly Valverde, Vera Herrera, Marcella Herrera, and Debbie Galvan; brother, Eddie Alcala; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Jimmy also has an extended friends and a work family at Peak Concrete Enterprises in Colorado Springs, CO until his recent retirement in February of 2021.

He will be greatly missed by his entire family.

    You will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting you . Even though you lived many miles away, I still have childhood memories of your kind heart. Your home now and I know that God is with you. Mom & our family will miss you but know that you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
