Leon Stavlo, 79, of Sunray, TX passed away on December 7, 2021.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 North Maddox.

Leon was born in Amarillo, TX on January 28, 1942, to Arthur Stavlo and Lenora Brown. He graduated from Sunray High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from North Texas State. He attended Law School and farmed most of his life in Moore and Sherman counties. He loved going to senior citizens, shooting guns, and playing table tennis.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Hill.

Survivors include niece, Lea Anne Hulsey; and great-nephew, Haydn Harris.

  1. I remember well starting to school with Leon in Sunray Elementary until my family moved to Dumas.. He was onery but a good kid, lots of fun. Grieve-as-you must, not-as-others are telling you is right, wrong or indifferent. Treasure the memories. Travel the pathway ahead our Lord has for you, there-are-no pathways, just individual ones for each. May our Lord bless and see you through as you cling tightly to His unchanging and unfailing hand.
