Sloan Howe Kritser, 79, of Amarillo, TX passed away on March 9, 2022.

 
Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 12, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Murray Gossett officiating. Private burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
 
Sloan was born in Amarillo, TX on July 18, 1942, to Jeanne and Shelby Kritser. He graduated from Amarillo High School and went on to attend college at the University of North Texas where he received his bachelor’s degree. Sloan graduated with his master’s degree in business from West Texas A&M University.
 
Sloan served as a Captain in the United States Army.
 
Sloan earned his pilot’s license when he was 16 years old. He learned how to fly at Tradewind Airport in Amarillo, TX, and owned many types of aircraft over the years. Sloan was a self-taught machinist, sports car enthusiast, and he completed multiple complete restorations. He was an avid collector of militaria, art objects, and curiosities.
 
Sloan was an animal lover; donating to multiple rescue organizations.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lee Masterson Kritser; and sister, Gail Kritser Wagner.
 
He is survived by his wife, Robin Kritser; daughter, Wendy Kritser-Howard and son-in-law Scott Howard; sons, Phillip Kritser and Mark Kritser; and nephew, Shelby Wagner.
