Wesley Patrick Brown, 40, of Amarillo, TX died December 11, 2021.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Scott Richards, Booker United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Boys Ranch Cemetery in Boys Ranch, TX.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Wes was born September 7, 1981, in Canyon, TX to Donnie and Sandra Brown.  His family moved to Boys Ranch, TX when he was one and graduated from Boys Ranch High School in 2000.  He continued his education at WT earning his bachelor’s degree and immediately began a teaching career.  For 17 years, he taught theater arts in Bowie Middle School, Boys Ranch, TX, and most recently, Vega, TX.

Wes had a passion for one-act plays and the stage, taking several groups to State. He had a great love for ministering to children. Wes was a friend to everyone, loved to make people laugh, and was a super caregiver to his parents.

Survivors include his mom and dad, Sandy and Donnie Brown; a sister, Brianna Smith and husband David; two sons, Colton Brown and Greyson Brown; the mother of his children, Tiffany Brown; a niece, Hadley Smith; a nephew, Ryan Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

There will be a Visitation from 5-7 on Friday, December 17th at Boxwell Brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Ceta Canyon Camp and Retreat Center, 37201 FM 1721, Happy, TX 79042; or on their website at www.cetacanyon.org.

  1. Donnie, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Just know that your Shamrock High School classmates are lifting you up in prayer.

  2. Praying for your family. Donnie, I know your son was a wonderful guy. He had a great role model in you. So sorry for your loss.

  3. I was so sad to read about Wes’s passing. I remember him as such a nice, thoughtful, caring young man. My deepest sympathy to all of the family.

  4. Donnie and Sandra—losing a child is indescribably hard. We are praying for peace and comfort for you.
    We also are remembering his sons and other loved ones.

  5. I am at a loss of words how I can express my strongest sympathy for your loss. May Jesus give you peace and strength thru this trying time.
