Patty Medling, 54, of Amarillo, Texas, was welcomed into the arms of God on August 17, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 21, 2020 at Central Church of Christ Chapel, with Alan Stanglin officiating. Arrangements made by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Patty was born on June 4, 1966 in Amarillo, Texas, to William and Ramona Medling. Patty was full of fun, spark, and never-ending energy. Her smile lit up any room she entered, and her love of dancing was only surpassed by her love of babies. Holding her great nephews and nieces as infants put a never- ending smile on her face. With Patty, the grass was always greener and the sky was always bluer, no matter the weather. Patty was pure in heart and loved coloring books, blowing bubbles, playing with dolls, and dressing up as a princess in beautiful gowns, with her hair and nails done.

Patty was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bill and Ramona Medling.

Survivors include her brother, Kenny Medling and wife Betsy; her sister, Tracy McNutt; two uncles, Mike Cherry and wife Denise and Bill Cherry and wife Dona, all of Amarillo, Texas; two nephews, Shannon McNutt and wife Kathleen and Chase Medling and wife Jackie; two nieces, Ashley Wheeler and husband Shane and Megan Fiore and husband Michael; six great-nephews;  and three great-nieces; as well as, numerous cousins and many wonderful friends at Advo Company.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Advo Company, www.advocompanies.org or the National Association for Down Syndrome (NADS), www.nads.org.

The family requests that those attending the service wear bright colors in celebration of Patty’s life and personality.
