Billy W. Howard, 79, of Amarillo, TX passed away on August 27, 2021. Services will be at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Alberta Helton officiating. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Billy was born in Tupelo, MS on April 5, 1942, to Clyde and Viola Howard. He was married to Augustina Rodriguez on July 25, 1964, in Dimmit, TX. They were both members of the Triumph Church.
He was a life-long truck driver…. one of the best and proud of it, all you ever had to do was ask him. He loved the simple things in life, his wife, a good truck driving song, and guns. Occasionally, he’d shoot a stove just for the heck of it.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years; parents; three brothers; one grandson, Steven Ray Howard; and one great-grandson, Michael Perales.

He is survived by one brother and three sisters; two sons, Israel DeLeon and wife Roberta, and Jimmy Howard and wife Rene, both of Amarillo, TX; six daughters, Esther Perales and husband Victor, Norma Zevely and husband Kent, Betty Rivera Judy and husband Rick, and Michelle Golden, all of Amarillo, TX, Teresa Rubalcaba of Euless, TX, and Tina Gainer and husband Bobby of Nevada, TX.

He was Grandpa to twenty-three grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren.
