Destini Ramos, 33, of Amarillo, TX died on August 14, 2021.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 20, 2021. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Destini Ramos was born in Amarillo Texas on February 7th, 1988, to Tonya Ramos and Maltan Penns. She graduated from Palo Duro High School and was employed by Baptist Community Services. Destini loved and was loved by her family and many friends. She was always happy and always had a smile. Destini was a “Ray of Sunshine” wherever she went. She loved her music and especially dancing to “Selena”.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Penns; great-grandparents, Alice and Antonio Garcia, Victor Ramos, Roberta Shaw, and Edward Gilbreath.

She is survived by mother, Tonya Ramos; father, Maltan Penns; grandparents, Ray and Savina Ramos, and Mary Penns all of Amarillo, TX; her great-grandparents, Amelia Ramos and Vurnell Gilbreath; her brothers, Stephen Ramos of Bovina, TX, and Darion Womack of Fritch, TX; her sisters, Zaniqua Ramos-Ortiz, Zanesia Gill, and Kaleyah Mata all of Amarillo, TX; and three nieces, M’Kaylen Ramos, Tatiana Ortegon, and Zaiyah Jackson all of Amarillo, TX.

  3. I had the pleasure to work with DD for 10 plus years during that time I can say that I never seen her unhappy or sad always upbeat and always did things the DD way!!! She is definitely among the Angels singing Her Songs
