
Horace Ewin “Butch” Betts, 78, of Amarillo, TX passed away on July 18, 2021.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega, with Bob Miller officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Butch was born in Wichita Falls, TX on October 25, 1942, to Viola and Horace Betts. He served in the United States Air Force.
Butch worked as a crop duster and pilot and later worked at the VA Hospital. He loved to play the guitar.
Butch married Jerry Scott in Lockney, TX on April 4, 1959.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas; sister, Darla Bradshaw; and brother, Sam Betts.
Survivors include his wife, Jerry Betts, of the home; daughter, Dania Farah and husband Tony, of Fontana, CA; son, Grett Betts and wife Miranda, of Clarendon, TX; daughter, Sheryl Neddermeyer and husband Keith, of Greely, CO; sister, Jolene Williams, of Canyon, TX; grandkids, Brandi, Will, Matthew, Ashton, Joshua, Marie, Hailey, Landon, and Hannah; and ten great-grandkids.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. – 6:30 P.M., Friday, July 23, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79109.

We were so sorry to hear about Butch. We grew up with the Betts’ as neighbors and worked with them when they lived on the Bridwell Ranch. Our sympathy goes out to the family.
