Jerry Thompson, 74, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Llano East Cemetery with Paul Dunn officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jerry was born November 16, 1946, in Hollis, OK., to Altus and Billie Thompson.  In 1996, he graduated from Amarillo High School and then enlisted in the Army serving during Vietnam from 1966 to 1968.

On November 28, 1969, he married Pat Craddock.

For thirty-five years, Jerry drove a truck for UPS.  He enjoyed working in the yard and taking care of his house.  He was a man of his word and an excellent provider to his family.  Jerry gave unconditional love and enjoyed spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pop and Mimi; a daughter, Christy Michelle, and a brother, Scott Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Thompson, of Amarillo, TX; a son, Larry Michael Thompson and wife Dawn, of Louisville, KY, and Brandie Jannette Grim, of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Pat McEntire and husband Wayne, of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Skylar Thompson, Rayna Grim, Jordan Thompson, Kilee Grim, Camden Thompson, and Clayton Grim; and a great-grandchild, Ayries Gallegos.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 6-7:00 P.M., Monday, August 23, 2021, at the funeral home.

  1. Yes Jerry will be missed. Worked and often shared a truck with Jerry. Worked 30 years at UPS with him. Sorry for your lose Pat !! Gerald Wewel
