Bryan H. Wood Sr. (Woody), 77, of Amarillo, TX died on March 3, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones.

A Private Family memorial will be held. Arrangements are made by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, at 2800 Paramount Blvd in Amarillo, Texas.

Mr. Wood was born on December 21, 1943, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Winfield, KS to Roy and Emma Wood.

Bryan enjoyed Crain Machines, eating popcorn, going to Walmart, John Wayne, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Leon Wood; mother, Emma Hazel Doris Wood; brothers, Robert Eugene Wood, Johnny William Wood, and Kim Arnold Wood; and his brother-in-law, Ronald Widener.

Survivors include one son, Bryan Haze Wood, Jr. and wife Robyn Wood, of the home in Amarillo, TX; one daughter, Misty Blevins and husband Rickie, of Borger, TX; sisters, Patricia Wood Hulseman, of Kimberling City, Missouri, Barbara Wood Gurnee and husband Jack, of Hallowell, Kansas, and Dora Shelton, of Kimberling City, Missouri; brothers, Larry Wood and wife Joetta, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Roy Wood and wife Hyla, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Kerry Wood and wife Linda, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two special nieces, Rhonda Alley, and Paula Brown; eight grandchildren, Sierra Williams, Tyson Wood, Brayden Wood, Corbyn Wood, Skylar Blevins, Stetson Blevins, Slade Blevins, and Sadie Blevins; two great-grandchildren, Xeniyah and Kevayah Williams; and a host of many other nieces, nephews, and family members.

  1. Dad I miss you so much.. I’m hurting bad that you left this world too soon, I know you’re in a better place and not hurting and pain free. Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not!! I wish I had more time with you, but I’m glad we made the memories that we did together. What I would give to hear one more time “Hey Fat Boy Can I have some coffee”. The boys are having a hard time, especially your Little Brayden. I’ll see you again soon!! You’re gone but not forgotten, Rest Easy Dad!! I love so much!!

  2. Dad, My heart is so shattered. I don’t know how to keep going, seeing your baby boy the way he is hurts so bad. I’m truly blessed to have had you as my dad figure for the past 25 years. I wish we could have gotten you out way sooner than what we did. Bryan && I were there through it all. One thing I do know, is how much you loved me && my boys. The impact you’ve shown on my little family will never be forgotten. You will live on in our lives FOREVER!! I keep waiting to hear you scream “Hey Grandma”. You’re missed fiercely. Keep watching over us, and save us the perfect seat. Your last wishes have been honored.

  4. I’m so happy you were able to feel the LOVE, KINDNESS, and HAPPINESS you so deserved from your son and daughter in love and grand babies. I KNOW they did everything they could to make sure you were protected, loved , and happy. Rest high on that mountain ! Your wings were ready but their hearts were not.     1. Mama, We truly loved giving him the love, care && happiness he so badly deserved. He was always protected by us, we made sure of that!! His grand boys lived him so much. It was a joy watching all of them together. We truly were not ready, but, He was, and God made sure of that when he welcomed him into heaven. Love you 😘

    1. Rhonda, He loved you sooo much. You were always referred to as his favorite cutie pie niece from Oklahoma. I can’t begins to tell you how perfect you were in your Uncle Bryan’s eyes. I’m truly glad I was able to give him the much needed care that he deserved. That date will happen when y’all join arms again in heaven. We love you!
