Thank you all for your prayers. It has been a battle as Donna fought to get better. We are thankful and blessed to have gotten to say goodbye! Jesus has taken the wheel!!

This nasty virus has taken so much from so many. At the same time, because it is Donna this time, it calls for more people to SERVE our VETERANS, FOLLOW their DREAMS, which in her case was strongly Mary Kay and spend TIME as FAMILIES and FRIENDS, things she valued!! While our earthly hearts are broken, we rejoice that she left this life in love with her “grown baby” Jason, her “Man” Wayne, successfully serving and boldly leading others in Mary Kay, (41 years this week), serving her country and other veterans (all her life since we are Air Force brats), spending fun time with sisters and friends and always striving to look beautiful. She taught us all (daily) how to fight through to get what you want! She always left the room a brighter place than she found it. She was bold with her opinion if you asked for it, and sometimes if you didn’t.

Donna was born on March 22, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to Frederick James Chesser and Clara Janice Goettee Chesser. She attended school in Houston, TX, Valdosta, GA, Tripoli Libya Africa, Burkburnett, TX, Arlington, TX, and finishing out her senior year at Caprock High School, 1973 in Amarillo, TX. She soon joined the Air Force for a career in OB/GYN nursing, stationed in Altus, Oklahoma, she and her husband Joe Hutchinson were blessed with the birth of their son Jason Michael Hutchinson in 1978. In 1979, she began her 42-year career in Mary Kay cosmetics as a very successful car driving leader inspiring other women to run their own businesses. Her most recent passion was serving veterans at funeral flag presentations.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Janice Chesser; her sister, Mary Meadow; and former husband, Joseph Hutchinson.

Survivors include her son, Jason Michael Hutchinson of Amarillo, TX; her guy friend, Wayne Morris of Amarillo, TX; sisters, Debbie Chesser and spouse Lynne Cook of Amarillo, TX, Patti Chesser Spencer and spouse Earla Chesser Spencer of Amarillo, TX, and Toni Chesser Nipp and spouse Bruce Nipp, of Frisco, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Our family cannot thank you enough! We’d love for you to share your best, most fun, craziest, happy memory of her!

Our family thanks you for all your prayers and support… Let’s give her a well-deserved send-off as she valued doing for so many other Veterans!
