Linda Fern Miller, 78, of Amarillo, TX passed away on May 17, 2021.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Michael Carter officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Linda was born in Wheeler, TX on August 7, 1942, to Lee and Viola Wagner. She lived in Pampa, TX until her sophomore year when she moved to Amarillo, TX, and attended high school at Palo Duro High School. Linda met the love of her life there, the shy, young girl meets the popular, outgoing guy in the class above her. She married Charles “Buddy” Miller at Second Baptist Church on March 25, 1961. They were married for 55 years until Buddy passed in 2016.

Linda worked as a secretary and bookkeeper most of her life at Highland Park and Eastridge Elementary.

Linda loved the outdoors, cooking, gardening, and yardwork. She also loved going to the mountains and doing things with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Bonnie Johnson.

Survivors include her children, Kim Billington and husband Greg, and Todd Miller and wife Sherrie; four grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Jared Miller and wife Alyssa, Nathan Miller, and Abby Billington; brother, Darrell Wagner and wife Cathy; sisters-in-law, Charlene Stiles and husband Dwayne, and Lavetta Willingham; uncle, Willys Lamb and wife Sandy; two aunts, Alice Henderson, and Marilyn Hodges; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Abundantly Blessed and Encompass Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church or Pay It Forward with love, to someone in need.

  1. I knew Linda and was in touch with her many years ago before her illness. She was extremely creative, kind, warm and always had something wonderful cooking in her kitchen. My heartfelt sorrow to Todd, Kim, the family and wishes for Gods speed in healing.

  2. So sorry for your loss. She was a lovely person. I graduated with Linda in 1960 from Palo Duro High School.

  3. Linda was also my cousin on my dad’s side, Kell Wagner. I wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of Linda’s passing. My mother Loraine, always thought alot of Lee and Viola and their children. Sending prayers for the family.
