Hazel N. Kimble

Hazel N. Kimble, 90, of Amarillo, TX passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. – 6:30 P.M., Friday, February 28, 2020, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 2, 2020, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR. She will be buried next to her son, Larry D. Meeks.

Hazel was born on June 26, 1929 in Apache, OK to W.C. and Myrtle Thrasher.

Hazel was a member of First Baptist Church and Amarillo Senior Citizen’s Center. One of her favorite hobbies was line dancing with the Amarillo Line Dancers. She will always be our dancing queen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and beloved children, Margie Hamlin and Larry D. Meeks.

She is survived by her sister, Maggie Mitchell, of Danbury, TX; three grandchildren, Tina Merlo (Mike), Larry J. Meeks (Sheila), and Kristy Davis (Jeff); six great-grandchildren, Cory Meeks, Heather Meeks, Courtney Barela, Devon Hall, Victoria Meeks, and Jacob Meeks; one great-great-grandchild, Miley Jo Davis, all of Arkansas. A host of special nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friend Shirley Anderson.

The family would like to thank Legacy Nursing Home and their staff for all the love and care over the past years.
