Jesse Cosimiro Martinez, 65, of Amarillo, TX died Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.  Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jesse was born March 4, 1955, in Canyon, TX to Conrad and Virginia Martinez.  He worked for Amarillo Independent School District in the maintenance department for seventeen years.  Jesse was a good ole country man who enjoyed old country music and classic Westerns.

Jesse was a good man with a good heart, a good dad, and an even better grandpa.  He was just a kid at heart and loved spending time with his grandkids.  He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Johnny Martinez.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-six years, Ramona Martinez, of Amarillo, TX; two daughters, Jessie Lynn and husband Bobby Juil of Bryson, TX, and Jessica Martinez and husband Sisto, of Amarillo, TX; two sons, Matthew Martinez, of Lubbock, TX, and Frankie Martinez, of Breckenridge, TX; three grandchildren, Manuel “Chico” Trevino, of Breckenridge, TX, Nadia and Sebastian Martinez, both of Amarillo, TX; two great-granddaughters, Zoe and Zailyn Trevino; five sisters, Evelyn Estrada, Linda Nicholson, Dorothy Martinez and husband Gilbert, Mary Hernandez, and Corrine Samora and husband Ernie; four brothers, Alex Martinez and wife Cruz, Conrad Martinez and wife Irma, Nick Martinez and wife Margaret, and Quentin Martinez.

The family will receive guests at 14816 Maria Ln., Amarillo, TX 79118.

  2. Jesse, may you Rest In Peace. Although we only knew each other for a short time. I grew quite fond of you and Ramona. I enjoyed spending meals with you at the nursing home and spending time talking with you and Cliff. I am deeply saddened by your passing . Ramona my thoughts are with you and your children. Please find peace and know that Jesse is no longer hurting and he is rejoicing with the Lord. Jesse you are going to be missed! God bless the family.
