Pablo G. Gonzalez, 67, of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

A rosary service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Cactus.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Cactus with Father Victor Hugo officiating.  Burial will be at Dumas Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox

Pablo was born on December 27, 1953, in Wolfforth, Texas.  He had worked as a truck driver for many years.  He moved to Dumas in 2004 and married Julia Jalomo.  He was a very dedicated member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Cactus and very active with raising money for the church.  He especially enjoyed traveling to see all of his children.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margarita Fuentes; a brother, Antonio Fuentes; and a sister, Mary Garrison.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Gonzalez of Dumas; three sons, Pablo Gonzales and wife Yadira of Woodbridge, Va., Marcos Gonzalez and wife Krissy of Boerne, Tx., Luz Gonzalez and wife Elaine of Dayton, Oh.; two daughters, Lucia Helms and husband Evan Sr. of Papillion, Ne., Maria Alvarez and husband Miguel Jr. of Moling, Il.; one step-son, Angelo Rodriguez and wife Lucia; three step-daughters, Monica Rodriguez and husband Ricardo, April Hyndman and Bret, Rene Moreno and late husband Wayne;

step-father, Alfonso Fuentes Sr.; five brothers, Mauricio Fuentes, Lucio Fuentes, Alfredo Fuentes, Alfonso Fuentes, and Guadalupe Fuentes; four sisters, Dolores Galvan, Geneva Gutierrez, Anita Gonzalez, and Blanca Wood; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and twenty-two step great-grandchildren.

  1. My deepest sympathy for your loss. I know that there isn’t anything that I could say that could take away the pain that you are feeling, although I sincerely wish that I could. Know that we are thinking about you and our hearts go out to your entire family as you try and navigate this loss.
