Anna Mae O’Quin, 86, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m., Monday, December 13, 2021, in Llano Cemetery with Danny Lucas officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Anna Mae was born on August 29, 1935, in Beaver, Oklahoma to Ora Mae and George Hoover.

Anna spent her life helping others.  She worked for Outreach for more than 25 years giving home health care and many other community services.

She was happiest when she was helping others, cooking, exercising, and of course shopping.  Anna Mae was a wonderful cook and she always made everyone feel welcomed.

She was a member of Bolton Baptist Church and loved her Sunday school class and her church family.   She was very loved and will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Hoover; her mother, Ora Hoover; her father, George Hoover; daughter, Georgia Ann Nowell; husband Norman O’Quin; and granddaughter, Casey Brooks.

She is survived by her daughter, Belinda O’Quin; two grandchildren, Carol Williams and husband Scott and April Cruz husband Armondo; ten great-grandchildren, Nathan and wife Cassidy, Taylor, Chelsea, Nathan T., Corbin, Rae, Alex, Noah and wife Stephanie; Angelina and Marina; and six great-great-grandchildren; niece, Hope Burns; and nephews, Jeff Hoover, Jody Hoover, Jay Hoover and Stephen Hoover.
