Carol Vincent (Simmons)

Carol Vincent (Simmons), of Amarillo, TX, passed away at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the age of 68. Carol courageously battled medical issues, but sadly it was too much to overcome, and she left us much too soon.

Carol was born February 15, 1953, in Beloit, KS. She was one of ten siblings born to Clarence E. and Helen A. (Stephens) Simmons. She grew up in Burr Oak, KS and graduated from Burr Oak High School. She lived in Superior, NE, Las Vegas, NV, and most recently Amarillo, TX.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers and sisters; Don Simmons, Clarence Junior Simmons, Betty Gonzela, and Paul Simmons. Survivors include brothers and sisters, Calvin Simmons, Amarillo, TX; Margaret McCullough (Bruce), Hays, KS; Martha Dougherty, Hastings, NE; Ila Rohla, Mankato, KS; Sharon Brown, Hastings, NE; and also Terry Vincent, Amarillo, TX.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 280 in Amarillo, TX. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

  1. I loved working with Carol at Market Street! She understood the value of customer service and she was a hard worker.! What I loved most, was when we got to have some real conversations in the breakroom or quick hellos when we saw each other. She had a love for her family, reading and for God! You are loved and missed but you are in a better place!
