Don Trickey, 87, passed away from this home to his eternal home on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Dr. Roger Hubbard officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Don was born April 17, 1934, in South Sioux City, Nebraska to Lester and Helen Trickey. He served in the Texas National Guard for ten years. Don worked as a car salesman most of his life. He was a member of Downtown Lions Club and Hillside Christian Church.
He loved to whittle, play cards and dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Hunter Trickey on January 17, 2018.
Survivors include his son, Barry Trickey and wife Sandee; a granddaughter, Caitlyn Rice and husband Israel; a grandson, Zack Trickey; two great-granddaughters, Candace Rice, and Hannah Nicole Rice; a brother, Gary Trickey and wife Sharon; a sister, Jeanne Larson; his BFF’s Georgeann and Tracy Garrett; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins he loved very much.
Memorials can be made to Sharing Hope or City Church.
The family will be at 4402 Derrick Place.

I will forever miss my best buddies Ruth and Don we had quite a ride from grade school on, birth of our kids we shared, Birthday of grandkids trips we took, time we spent together no matter where we were. Tracy and I have a whole in our hearts .
