Deanna Lin Finney Skaggs, 46, of Amarillo, TX died Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Deanna was born October 19, 1974, in Amarillo, TX to Ronald and Linda Finney.  She graduated from River Road High School.  She had a passion for special needs children and was a special education teacher for many years.  Deanna loved to ride motorcycles, drive race cars, and most importantly spending time with her children.  She enjoyed camping and going to the mountains.

She married Larry Skaggs on October 7, 2011, in Red River, NM.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Skaggs, of Amarillo, TX; children, Blaine Morgan, of Amarillo, Ronda Finney of Arlington, TX, and Ashley Morgan, of Oxford, MS; a stepson, Tyler Skaggs, of Amarillo, TX; her parents, Ron and Linda Finney, of Amarillo, TX; a brother, Warren Finney and wife Monice, of Hurst, TX.

  1. So heartbroken to hear about this. 💔 Deanna(Mrs. Skaggs as I knew her) was a bright and shining light. She helped me through middle school, and for that I will be forever grateful.
    Mrs. Skaggs, I love you and will miss you so much. Thank you for being there for me in middle school when I was going through a lot in my life. I know that we will meet again one day in Heaven. Love always, Genevieve. 🥰💓
