Fred Gordon Gill, 78, of Amarillo, TX died October 4, 2020.
Services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2020, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Fred was born on September 25, 1942 in Amarillo, TX to Gordan and Lillian Gill. He married Judy on June 30, 1984. Fred served as director of the laboratory at Northwest Texas for forty-eight years until retiring in April of 2013. He loved working outside and grilling and cherished the time he spent traveling. Fred had a deep love for Coca-Cola!
He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Allison Henry and husband Matthew of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Jake Henry, and Logan Henry; sister, Kathryne Bayle and husband Daryl of Fairview, TX; nephews, Alan Bayle and wife Tina of Allen, TX and Ryan Bayle and wife Emily of McKinney, TX; great-nephews, Nolan Bayle, of Allen, TX, and Ian Bayle, and Finn Bayle, all of McKinney, TX; and cousin, Stephen Vaughn and wife Peggy of Woodlands, TX.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in Fred’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2020, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
