Janeene Mitchell Keifer, a loving Mother of three passed away peacefully on the fourth of February.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Janeene was born on January 14, 1938, in San Angelo, Texas, to James and Vera “Honey” Mitchell.
As our mother, she was generous, loving, and kind.
Janeene was a military wife who lived and traveled the World. Some of her favorite places were Iceland and Hawaii.
She was proud of her time spent patrolling for San Angelo’s “CODE BLUE” alongside the San Angelo Police department, with her best friend and sister-in-law Barbara Mitchell. Janeene retired from HEB where she was the shipping and receiving Manager in San Angelo, then moved to Amarillo, Texas. She had a great talent for sewing and cooking.
She loved to swim and was an avid reader and animal lover.
Janeene is lovingly remembered by her three children; Amy (Don) Picard from Amarillo, Texas; Laura (Matt) Jackson from Sweetwater, Texas and Richard Overland from Onalaska, Wisconsin. Her Grandchildren; Tim (Mary Lindsey), Mat (Dey) Gabriel both from Amarillo, Texas. Sydni, Zain, and Noah Jackson from Sweetwater, Texas, and Christopher Mcada from San Angelo, Texas. Along with many wonderful great-grand Children.
Per her wishes:
Janeene will be cremated, and her ashes taken to both Hawaii and Caddo Lake. The family requests in lieu of flowers that you may make a donation to charity as a way of saying goodbye to a wonderful woman and beautiful Mother.
