Jo Vaughn Maples of Cleburne, TX passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 94.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday October 25, 2021, at Llano cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Jo was born in Meadows, Texas on February 21, 1927, to Martin Luther Vaughn and Josephine Minnie Jumper.
She was an Amarillo resident since 1946 and was married for 68 years to Sterling Maples. She was a Charter member of Coulter Road Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School and sang in the choir for 50 years.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband Sterling Maples and nine siblings.
She is survived by her children; Anita Wynkoop, Steve Maples and Paula Duncan, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
I am so sorry for your loss. Jo was a very kind loving woman and I know you will miss her but also rejoicing she is with her Jesus and other loved ones that went on before her.
