
Mary Ann Davis, 73, of Dumas, TX died on Monday, September 6, 2021.
Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church with Mike Watson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox
Mary Ann was born on November 7, 1947, in Phenix City, Alabama to Roy Lee Truitt and Lois Henry Truitt. She was a homemaker and loved gardening and playing bingo. She was known as Mimi to her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved very much.
She married Eddie Davis on June 2, 1967, in Clayton, N.M.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Davis of Dumas; a son, George Anthony and wife Seretha of Lubbock; two daughters, Sammie Griggs and husband Bobby of Dumas, and Nikki Scroggins and husband Colby of Littlefield; a brother, Robert Truitt of Columbus, Georgia; a sister, Vicki Rodriguez of Columbus, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Casaundra, Caleb, Brad, Michael, Mason, McKinley, Shiloh, Cheyenne, and Keither; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; aunts, Shirley Henry and Carolyn Chambers, both of Phenix City, Alabama; and sister-in-law, Prissy Green of Borger.
One of the most influential people in my life growing up. I will miss May Ann’s advice, support, her sense of humor and even her stinging way of telling you when you screwed up because it was always meant for my good. I will miss her and am so sorry to the family for your loss. Jimmy Stogner
