Michelle Rose Gallier

Michelle Rose Gallier, age 55, passed away January 21st, 2022 after a courageous, hard fought two month battle with COVID-19.

Private services will be held.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Michelle was born on March 7th, 1966 in El Paso, Texas.

She graduated from Amarillo High School and went on to Amarillo College where she became the valedictorian of her nursing class. During her time in nursing school she met the love of her life and future husband of 35 years, Tory Gallier. Michelle was always a loving, caring soul and she loved being a nurse and being able to help those in need. She retired from nursing after the birth of her first child, Joshua, to become a full time mother and teacher. Four years later she gave birth to her second child, Jessica. Shortly after her birth, Michelle and Tory and the kids moved back to Amarillo to be close to her mother, Pat. She lived in Amarillo for the past 22 years.

Besides spending time with her family, Michelle loved to care for sick and injured animals. She had a certain healing touch that she knew how to use in the perfect way. There was never a person or animal that couldn’t be helped and she made that clear with the way she would shower everyone with her love. There were countless people she touched and impacted during her life with her kindness and yet there were some that had never even met her in person. She rescued and nursed back to health countless backyard critters and tamed multiple squirrels. She had this aura about her that just exuded love and compassion. There wasn’t a single person on this planet Michelle couldn’t get to open up and tell her about their life and hardships. She was always there to listen and help you through whatever problems you may be dealing with and always did it with a tender touch, even if she didn’t know you. She was truly one of a kind and had one of the best, purest hearts in the whole world.

Michelle is preceded in death by her stepfather, Jerry Conley, and her brother, Thane McIlhaney.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Tory Gallier, her son Josh Gallier and his wife Courtney,  her daughter, Jessie Gallier and fiancé Parker Lopez, mother Pat Conley, sister Gwen Dubravec and husband Martin, and brother Jason McIlhaney.
