  1. I just seen that Paul has passed, and to want to give condolences to the family. I have a true story that happen back in the mid to late 70’s when we both worked on the railroad. We had just gotten off work in Waynoka ok and decided to go have a drink at the bar. We go in and say down and behind us is a couple, she probably weights 250 pounds and her (I guess husband or boyfriend) weights probably around 300 pounds. Well she gets mad at Paul because when he sat down in the booth it made her spill her drink. The next thing I know she’s slapping Paul up the side of his head with her big purse. Well I’m laughing since I’m already high watching Paul Dodge that purse. Her friend jumps up and was fixing to jump on Paul and I jump up and hit him and he’s down. Well she has jumped on top of Paul and he doesn’t want to hit her so I bend down and am pulling her off of him and her friend grabs me from behind in a bear hug, well Paul finally gets away from her and all I hear is big boy hollering and he lets me go and off he runs towards the front door with Paul riding his back chewing on his ear. Oh big boy didn’t want no more of that 150 pounds if Paul weighted that. Paul was a good person and I respected him. He showed me he would cover your back and was fearless. RIP!!

  2. Bubba was my best friend when we were very young and lived around the corner from each other. Every day he was at my house or I was at his. I believe we are responsible for the decline in the horned toad population in Amarillo because we caught so many in the field behind Bubba’s house. So sorry to have to say goodbye. I would love to talk with George someday if he would take my call. My condolences to his family. RIP Bubba.

  3. Kindest thoughts to Bubba’s family. We will always think of him with fond memories and that unforgettable grin. May he Rest In Peace and hope that time will heal all broken hearts.
    Much Love Always,
    Karen and Raymond Bridges
