Ray Allen Carrier

Ray Allen Carrier, 79, of Amarillo, TX passed away on November 27, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel on December 2nd at 4 P.M. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX

Ray was born in Scottsbluff, NE on April 4, 1942, to Earl and Luella Carrier.  He was raised, farmed and lived in the Lake Alice Community, located outside of Scottsbluff, NE for the majority of his life and retired from the US Postal Service.  Ray was a member of the Lake Alice School Board for a number of years and served as President of the local Postal Union.

He was preceded in death by Earl Carrier (father), Luella Hays Carrier (Mother), Meryl Burkhart (sister), Louis Ray (sister), Inez Carrier (sister), and Dale Carrier (brother).

He is survived by Cyntha Carrier (wife), Roger Carrier (brother), Kevin Carrier (son), Shannon Brewster (daughter) and Brittan Carrier (son).  Grandchildren include Jessica Shelton, Gabe Carrier, Britannia Shaffer, Chloe’ Carrier, Brooke Rogers, Blayne Brewster and Blair Brewster and 13 great grandchildren.

  1. Aunt Cyntha, Kevin, Shannon, Brittan and other family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. Uncle Ray is a big part of the good memories I have of vacations at Grandma and Grandpa Carrier’s farm in Scottsbluff, NE. I have really been missing those visits to the farm and everyone involved with those times! I will be praying for God to comfort you and help you. I love you. Jeanne Ray
