Reverend Don Pat Morgan was born on July 12, 1940 in Colgate, Oklahoma to Albert and Margaret Morgan. He passed on to eternity on April 29, 2021 at the age of 80. He was a gifted mechanic for Phillips Petroleum Company for 25 years. He was also an ordained minister and loved to preach the gospel for 37 years. He enjoyed playing golf, drawing portraits, and cheering on the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, and Dallas Cowboys in his free time. He loved all of the animals he had throughout the years, especially his dogs. Don Pat was deeply loved and will forever be remembered by all those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Margaret Morgan; his beloved wife, Linda Morgan; his two brothers, Dickey Morgan and James Morgan; and his dog, Maggie.

Don Pat is survived by his daughter, Kim Morgan Hay and her husband Ray Hay; three grandchildren, Lexy Mata and her husband Jayden, Erin Bigelow and her husband Matt, and Dereck Guenther; two great-grandsons, Roczen Mata and Lennox Mata; siblings, Mike Morgan and his wife Brandy, and Delois Blackwood and her husband Don; and his sister-in-law, Janell Howell.

Private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name can be made to Gracie’s Project Dog Rescue, P.O. Box 2512 Amarillo, Texas 79105.

  1. Kim we are so sorry for your loss. Don Pat was such a wonderful man. I’ll always remember him teaching “Don’t cast away your confidence in God” He made such an impact on many. We will be praying for you and your family. God give you peace and comfort in Jesus Mighty Name.

  2. Kim, I just now got on the computer and saw this. I am so sorry for your loss. I know you are really going to miss him. I just met him one time and that was at your and Ray’s wedding. You can have comfort in knowing where he is. Love you, Lois
