Robert Edward Spencer was born June 11, 1951, in Carthage, TX to Marion Lee Spencer and Mary Louise Howard Spencer. Rob graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. With this degree, he was able to travel and work in many countries.

 
He departed this life on June 24, 2021.
 
Rob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carla Marselli Spencer, their daughter, Kristen Leigh Spencer Barrick, her husband, Dustin Michael Barrick and their two children, Caden Spencer Barrick, and Avery Christian Barrick. Her sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Bill Duckworth, their children, and grandchildren.
 
No services will be held. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to American Council for the Blind, 6200 Shingle Creek Parkway, Suite 155, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430-2132; or donate to the charity of your choice.
