Stephen “Steve” Blain White

Stephen “Steve” Blain White, 59, of Amarillo, TX died Friday, April 17, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2020 in the chapel at Central Church of Christ.

Steve was born April 2, 1961, in Amarillo, TX to Bobby and Betty White. He attended Amarillo High School and graduated in 1979. Steve earned his bachelor’s degree from W.T.

He married Karen Shepherd January 5, 1985, in Amarillo.

As a coach and educator, he spent 15 years at Crockett Middle School. He coached football, basketball, and track while teaching math, science, and physical education.

Steve was a member of Central Church of Christ for 35 years.

Survivors include his wife, Karen White, of Amarillo, TX; a son, Joshua Mason White, of Vail, CO; a daughter, Abby Moneka Dunnam and husband Alex, of Arlington, TX; and a granddaughter, Avery Blake Dunnam, of Arlington, TX.

  1. I was lucky to be able to call Steve a coaching brother. He was a great coach and an even better man. Honest, caring and funny with a passion for helping others. May God bless your family in your time of loss.

  2. Karen I am keeping you and your family in our prayers at this difficult time. I remember playing darts at yours and Steve’s house back in the eighties and all the laughter and good times we had with you. He will be missed.

  3. Karen, my sister Linda Pinner Jones, told me about Steve. John and I want you know , even though we are not nearby, we are wrapping our arms around you and your family. My heart is broken for you and we are keeping you in our hearts and prayers. I miss your smiling face and Steve I know is missed by so many of us.
