Steve Winters, 56, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020. He was born on August 6, 1963 in Hays, KS. On April 10, 1999, he married Jennifer at Salina Bible Church in Salina, KS.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Trinity Baptist Church in Amarillo, TX. Steve will be laid to rest in Hope, KS at a later time.
Steve was a strong foundation, driven by his faith in God and unwavering love for his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, enjoying twenty-one years of his wife’s baking and long drives. Steve was an antique car enthusiast. He loved to collect and restore them. He was often found growing his collection of eBay boxes (we still don’t know what is in some of them) and Lonestar memorabilia. He loved to mow the grass and watch his grandchildren play. Steve never met a stranger; he could talk to anyone. He was always there to advise, from cooking to cars to parenting. Steve was dearly loved and is sorely missed.
Steve’s life, even though short, was a long journey. He endured so much throughout his life. As his health began to fail, he saw that the love of God was the only sustaining peace that life can give you. He shared the Gospel and prayed for many. We, as his family, know that he wants all of you to come to faith in Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; children, Wes and wife Krystal Winters, of Amarillo, Angelia and husband Dustin Curtis, of Pampa, TX, Beth and husband Tanner Blessen, of Bushland, TX, and Emily Winters of the home; father, Butch Robinson; sister, Sandy Mann; brothers, Stan Sanders and Mike Robinson; mother-in-law, Barbara Bowers; a slew of grandkids, Casey, Rinoa, Hannah, Logan, Braliegh, Amilea, Eli, John, and Maisie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
